1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO
The i3+ EVO is identical to its sibling, the i3 EVO. They differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. That makes the i3+ a great option for those looking for an automated, hands-free cleaning experience, but aren't afraid of taking the time to empty their robot's trash bin when it is full.
Both robots are adept at removing surface dirt on floors and carpets, and they can easily move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates a smart maps of your home that assist the i3+ to navigate and clean efficiently. The i3+ doesn't feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we have tested. It may get stuck on power cords or socks, and may have trouble navigating between surfaces, such as carpet and hardwood.

iRobot suggests that you clear areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, including putting away any toys or clutter it may encounter. It is also recommended to keep the filters and dust bin clean to prevent them from becoming clogged. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station, and it automatically empties the dirt into the station's external dustbin. Then it continues cleaning from where it left off. Battery life is about an hour-and-a-half of continuous usage. It takes three hours to charge.
2. Roomba from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model in iRobot's flagship line and is equipped with the most recent features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. -- the most important feature of all -- it has self-emptying bins that eliminate one of the primary sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
The Roomba I7+ can better map rooms with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and direct your robot by voice or via the app.
In our tests the i7+ performed quicker and more maneuverable than our runner-up and the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surfaces kinds including carpeting. Read Webpage has over the Eufy is the self-emptying bin, which removes major maintenance sources and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.
We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning session and move around the room and sweep an area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. Once connected to these services, we were able use the i7+'s voice commands such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and evaluating the performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is an athletic car in a world of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It's powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of homes, yet it is also small enough to fit on the bookcase or coffee table.
The V10 is powered by a 7-cell high-energy lithium-ion battery that can provide fade-free power for 60 minutes. The sophisticated whole-machine filter system is able to trap allergens and then releases fresh air into your home. This model also has an accessory dock that can charge to 100% in 3.5 hours and provides an easy access to two attachments and an clip for a wand. This is a major improvement over older Dysons which require a long charge and are difficult to store.
The V10's main drawback is its short running time. As CR's tests show, its marketing claims of up to 60 minutes are not true. This is a typical, not exceptional, battery-powered vacuum's run time. It's still enough time to clean most of a typical-sized home however, it's not enough to get every single area (though a second run-through usually will suffice). However, this model isn't a good choice It's lighter and more maneuverable than older cordless Dysons, and its vacuuming performance is noticeably better on carpets with low pile.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
One of iRobot's most adored robot vacuums, the 694 is a basic model that's a good choice for people who don't want to spend too much money on a robot. Read Webpage of sucking up all types of debris and sizes during our tests, and it often passes over the same areas many times to get a really thorough clean. The flat front of the unit allows to get into corners and along the walls' edges, which is a nice addition.
Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate your home, but it isn't equipped with the ability to map that comes with more advanced models like our top picks, the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. It may get stuck on phone cords or furniture and often runs out of power before returning to its home base.
The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in all aspects, as it has fewer parts that require regular cleaning, is fitted with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, incurs lower recurring costs, comes with more advanced automation capabilities and is more efficient in moving itself. It also has a larger dustbin and is charged faster.
The eufy RoboVac X8 has a superior battery longevity than the Roomba 694. It also comes with physical boundaries and can be controlled with your smartphone's voice assistant. The app provides plenty of options to customize your robotic cleaner, including virtual barriers, mopping water levels and behavior modification docking frequency settings and much more. The app is easy to learn and use similar to other Samsung devices.
In our tests of the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors, and also handled dog hair (on carpet) quite well, cleaning up 86% of it. It was not as successful in avoiding taller objects like socks or cords. This was disappointing. It's also more expensive than the other models we've tested, and this could be a problem for some buyers.
The smart vacuum has an onboard camera that can be accessed via the app, and you can also set up a live streaming from the robot's cleaning station. This feature allows you to check in on your children or pets while you are away. The filter and the dustbin can be cleaned for an easy, quick clean-up.
